Linda Whitlock, a seasoned leadership advisor, was appointed by President Biden to the President’s Commission on White House Fellows in 2021. The Principal of The Whitlock Group, providing strategy consulting to boards and CEOs, Linda is the former Nicholas President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and the former Vice President of Harvard Real Estate. Linda taught at MIT, Tufts, and the University of Michigan, and served in the administrations of MA Governors Dukakis and King.
Linda has served on more than 20 boards, including the boards of Cambridge Trust Company, where she was the board’s first Lead Independent Director; Brigham and Women’s Hospital; the Boston Stock Exchange; two Bain Capital portfolio companies; Brandeis University; and other leading companies in the real estate, financial services, arts and culture, human services, and education sectors. She is currently on the boards of the Red Sox Foundation; the National Association of Corporate Directors New England; and is the co-chair of the ‘Quin (House) Impact Fund.
She has been inducted into the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Academy of Distinguished Bostonians and has been honored by the Boston Business Journal, the Boston Municipal Research Bureau, the Anti-Defamation League, and Boston Magazine, among many other leading institutions.
An alumna of Mount Holyoke College (AB) and the University of Michigan (AM), Linda has honorary doctorates from Suffolk University, Babson College, and Pine Manor College. She has completed Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and the Aspen Institute.
Linda has been an avid investor in early-stage companies, including in a women-led ownership group that will launch a professional women’s soccer team in Boston in 2026. She has long been engaged in leadership development and mentoring of women and girls and of people of color.
