Katie Woods is a digital public historian in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Saint Mary’s College with a BA in History and Sociology in 2016, she obtained a Master of Arts in History, concentration in Public History, and a Digital Humanities Certificate at Northeastern University. Katie has gained experience at several public history and education organizations, including Facing History and Ourselves, the Women Writers’ Project at Northeastern University, and the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate. She served as a Student Conservation Association/AmeriCorps public history intern with the National Parks of Boston for two years, researching women’s activism during the abolition and suffrage movements in Boston. In addition to curating and developing content for the Massachusetts Women’s History Center, Katie currently works as a digital public historian and visual information specialist at the National Parks of Boston and serves on the board of the Luxembourg American Cultural Society.
