Three Women Concert: 20th Anniversary Celebration of Boston Women’s Memorial

Suffrage100MA (now the Massachusetts Women's History Center) was honored to be a presenting partner at the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Boston Women’s Memorial on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Emmanuel Church, Boston. The landmark event presented world-premiere compositions by Melika Fitzhugh, Emily Lau, and Inès Velasco, inspired by the memorial’s subjects: Abigail Adams, Lucy Stone, and Phyllis Wheatley, and a discussion of the history of the sculpture from the artists and activists who made it happen!
